Who We Are

The MAISA Mathematics Task Force is a subcommittee of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA) General Education Leadership Network (GELN), which represents Michigan’s 56 Intermediate School districts.&

Our Purpose

 Develop a framework of evidence-based mathematics instructional practices to support early mathematics educators in Michigan.

Our Aim

Children will develop agency in mathematics through exposure to cognitively engaging mathematical tasks in language rich environments in order to advance their understanding of mathematics in ways that are responsive to their social context.
